Before I started the interview, I had to list down my goals for the interview. I listed down the questions I would ask and see if it would provide insightful contribution or if it is just redundant. I have practiced interviewing with fellow classmates through gmeet. I noticed that I focused too much on the questions and I ended up not listening carefully to their answers. It did hinder me from asking further additional questions that could potentially bring out answers that are clearer or deeper.
Because of that experience, I decided that I should list down ‘sub-questions’ to my current questions. I consider those sub-questions to be optional and only to be asked when the interviewee has not tackled certain areas. I also decide to list it down on paper as I find it easier and more comfortable than just reading it off a screen.
