Sketch and Reflect

This activity was done after the interview and research paper has been done. I was told to reflect and create a sketch, it could be comics or a video, relating to my specialty which is accounting. As a person who loves to draw, I decided to make short animation which I love and hold dear to me. I remembered doing a mock exam and how big of mistake it is to be one number off. I titled it ‘The Reflection of Zeroes” since the mistake I made was forgetting one zero in a simple calculation.

The reason I chose this incident is because it left quite an impact on me. A small mistake can cause a domino effect and turn everything else after that to be inaccurate and possibly misleading. If it were a real-life scenario, it could possibly be a devastating error and could cause many problems in the organization. Fortunately, it was only a mock exam that I could learn from without a huge burden weighing over me.

After finishing the sketch, it made me appreciate auditors and accountants even more. Auditors are there to ensure that the accountants’ works are accurate and trustworthy to their upmost capabilities. I felt enlightenment on how this little moment I had months before the creation of my research paper, had a connection to my topic in a way.
